English Classes for Adults - Advance Your Career
Join our English classes in Aurora to practice speaking, feel more confident, and find new chances for work, school, or everyday life.
Our Classes
Our program is for working adults who want more than basic English — people who want to advance at work, prepare for a U.S. university, or build a future here.
- You will have 18 hours of class each week
- Each level takes 4 months (288 hours) to finish but you sign up for 4 weeks (72 hours) at a time
- Classes include small group work, one-on-one help, whole class activities
- You will practice grammar, reading and writing, listening and speaking
- We use fun and active teaching methods
- We use both paper and computers—not just textbooks
- All classes are in person (we do not offer online classes)
Placement Test
Monday - Thursday, 2:00 p.m. No appointment needed. The test covers listening, reading, and grammar, and there is a separate speaking section. It takes about 1.5 hours. You will receive results right away.

What to Expect
Whether you are a beginner or already good at English, New America College has classes for all levels. In every English class, you will practice grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking English using lessons about different topics. Your teacher will also help you learn new words and improve your pronunciation to make your English more fluent.
